According to the World Health Organization, asthma is the most common chronic diseas in childhood. Haneen Khreis, a researcher from Texas A & M University, and her team theorized that the high rate of childhood asthma could stem from environmental factors such as air pollution from cars. They mapped where children are most at risk for asthma from car pollution, and identified other risk factors effecting the two such as urban versus rural.
