Mapping Predjudice
Minneapolis is a growing metropolitan with relative wealth and opportunity, but the history of exclusion in the city is still impacting current residents. Racial covenants banning minorities from homeownership in certain areas has led to severe differences in wealth and assets across racial divides. This map shows how racial covenants and redlining created these disparities, and has helped influence changes in housing policy to correct that.
